Excel Alloy Wheel Rims for Classic British Motorcycles
The Bonneville Shop carries Excel shouldered, valanced alloy rims for vintage Triumph, Norton, and BSA wheels. Excel is a Japanese rim manufacturer. These rims are made for the specified hubs, and they are not exact copies of original equipment. Our range covers drum-brake, disc-brake, conical-hub, and spool-hub wheels, with single rims and paired sets.
Shouldered, Valanced Alloy Styling
The shouldered (valanced) profile gives a traditional look for restorations and custom builds. Some rear rims are listed in a polished alloy finish, so check each listing for the finish.
Rims by Motorcycle
- Triumph: Conical-hub 19-inch front and 18-inch rear rims (shared with BSA 650/750 twins), 750 disc-brake front and rear rims for TR7/T140, a T160 Trident rear rim, and a spool-hub rear rim for 500/650 models.
- Norton: Atlas and Commando drum-brake rims, Commando disc-brake front and rear rims, and an 18-inch rear rim that also lists AJS and Matchless.
- BSA: A WM2 × 19-inch front rim for 500/650 models, plus the shared Triumph/BSA conical-hub rims.
- Paired sets: Triumph 500/650/750 WM2-19 and WM3-18 set, Norton Atlas/Commando WM2-19 drum-brake set, and a Norton/BSA WM2-19 and WM3-18 pair.

Match all of these against your wheel before ordering:
- Rim section and diameter (WM2 × 19, WM3 × 18, or WM3 × 19). A “19-inch” rim alone does not identify the correct part.
- Spoke-hole size, either .250 or .300, which must suit your spoke set. All listed rims are 40-spoke.
- Hub type and brake configuration.
- Front or rear position and model-year coverage.
- Finish.
Rims and rim sets are not assembled wheels. Check each listing for what is included.
