Established in 1990, the Devon Rim Company Ltd has been a purveyor of the finest wheel goods available worldwide for vintage British motorcycles. The fitment for this spoke set is specifically for the 1965 and 1966 A50 and A65 road-going models equipped with the Quick-Detach (QD), or “Crinkle” rear hub and WM2-19 rim pierced for .250″ spoke nipples. May also be suitable for some A7 and A10 applications. Check your parts book for compatibility.
Manufactured and finished in the UK, the 10 gauge stainless “Nail Head” spokes are supplied with .250″ brass nickel-plated nipples. This spoke set replaces original BSA part numbers 67-6016, 67-6017, and 27-6810 with overall lengths of approximately 8″.
Stainless spokes offer a bright and corrosion-resistant finish and are an excellent choice for replacement of the original galvanized spokes. Modern manufacturing standards ensure safe and attractive wheels for superior reliability on the road.
Wheel building is a specialized skill and requires patience and specialty tools. A wheel truing stand will be beneficial for achieving a trued wheel and safely finished product. Refer to the specific model’s workshop manual for more details on rim lacing and correct offset specifications. In many cases, wheel building is best left to an experienced wheelsmith.
