The ThreeBond 1184 sealant is a gray liquid with a pliable elasticity when dried. It offers excellent resistance to water, oil, gasoline, and chemicals with a temperature range of -40°C to 150°C. Made in Japan.

How do I apply and remove ThreeBond 1184?
The most important step is preparing the mating surfaces. ThreeBond recommends removing grease, moisture and other contaminants before assembly. Then apply a thin, even coat and put the parts together quickly. The sealant becomes tack-free in about 12 minutes, so have your fasteners and torque wrench ready before you start. Because 1184 is semi-drying, it comes apart more easily than fully curing sealants. You can clean old sealant off alloy surfaces with acetone.
