This speedometer cable is suitable for many applications, such as pre-unit Triumph 500 and 650 models and early unit-construction 6T models, as well as pre-unit BSA singles and twin-cylinder models such as B31, A10, and early A50/A65 unit twins. This cable features an “armoured” reinforcement sleeve that is designed to protect the sheathing of the cable where it runs into the gearbox. The overall length of the speedometer cable is approximately 44″, with the armoured section measuring 14-3/8″. Inner drive wire is approximately 3.7mm thick. Made in the UK by Venhill.
The cable joins the gearbox-driven speedometer drive to the Chronometric speedometer with the long nut fitted to the drive unit and the short nut fitted to the instrument.
Installation is straightforward and the cable must be free of any tight bends that cause unwanted friction to the inner wire. Be sure to check your parts catalog to ensure correct fitment, as this cable is specified for numerous Triumph and BSA applications.
