Suitable for use with Boyer Bransden COIL00004 and COIL00012 dual-output coils, the heat sink is engineered to dissipate heat from the single high-output dual-lead coil and provides a safe and effective way to mount the coil to the motorcycle. May be compatible with other branded dual-output coils, depending on spacing of the mounting lugs.
The aluminum heat sink mounting plate is supplied complete with installation hardware and accommodates dual-output coils with approximately 3-1/2″ spacing between mounting lugs. Made in the UK.
The high-output Boyer Bransden dual-lead single coil can generate significant heat during operation. This dedicated heat sink and mounting plate will draw the thermal energy away from the coil when mounted to the motorcycle’s frame or surrounding airflow, preventing premature coil failure.
The coil is attached to the heat sink with bolts passing through special standoffs that are fastened to the mounting lugs on each end of the coil. It is recommended that careful consideration of the mounting location on the motorcycle will allow for airflow to assist in keeping the coil from overheating.
